Ok first "offical" post....hahaha

Meet my beautiful cousin Krystin. :) This girl has an innocence about her that no one can take away and it's one of her most appealing characteristics.

I remember being little kids, playing in my grandpa's back yard swimming, running around in his orchard, getting dirty, jumping on the trampoline, just doing what kids do. Always the protector over her. I would give her what I thought back then to be sound advice, or at least as much sound advice a 13 year could give. hahaha.

We would play with Ricky, our nextdoor neighbor's mentally challenged son and I always remember Krys being a sweet little girl that never judged the look a person had but only the heart that they held.
We would dress K.C. (her brother) up as a girl when he was little and make him dance and sing.
Take random drives around the high desert. Talked late at night as we laid in bed trying to go to sleep but failing horribly to only find ourselves laughing our butts off and Aunt Shannon coming in telling us to go to sleep.

She is no longer that little girl that I felt so compelled to protect and guide...but an amazing young woman that I am very proud to call my family. My SISTER. :)

Yet to this day, she still comes to me for advice and I cant tell you how good that makes me feel inside! My body aches from how much I miss her and how I cant be around her all the time like I want to be.

My advice to you now cousin, is to not be afraid of the journey that lies ahead of you. You have been blessed with the inner strength that runs so rapidly through our family blood. EMBRACE IT! Dont be afraid to take that next step or turn that corner. Love with all of your heart, even if that heart ends up being broken in the end. With time it will heal and you will thank that person for making you that much stronger. Educate yourself!! I cant stress that enough! You are doing GREAT at it so far, so please dont let anything get in the way of that. Dont ever lose that rare innocence that so many of us lack in this world. Yet share it with everyone around you.
Know that your are beauiful inside and OUT....God blessed you with so many amazing qualities so dont ever take that for granted! Last, but certainly not least......Carve your own path. Do not follow the herd. Make those around you want to follow YOU!

I love you with every piece of my heart Cousin. Thank you for being in my life and teaching me so many things! For that, I will be forever grateful.

Inspiration

So I have'nt written anything since December of 2008 and that was a little over two years ago. I started the blog because I use to write ALOT. But then life happened, and I stopped. Life has taken me to some pretty awesome places and not so awesome places since then.

So I started throwing around the idea of writing again...and what better way to do it then by blogging! I've been beating my mind, trying think of an interesting fun topic to blog about but as those who know me well know that I can't stay committed to one thing for a long period of time before getting bored.
So, I figured why not just blog about daily life! I have some amazing friends and family. They fill my life to the brim with happiness as well as pain. This has become more apparent to me as of late. And I have been filled with an over flowing amount of graditude to have every single person in my life that I do now. Whether its a good buddy at work who bullshits with me and keeps me from going insane, to my two my awesome roommates whom have done more for me than they will ever know or even my very unqiue sometimes hard to get along with mother who loves me with every inch of her being.

Regardless, it's those people who have made an impact on my life and have helped shape me into the person I am and growing into. So why not write about that!
My hope is to make people take a step back and realize that yeah life can be shitty, but there are so many things in life that trump those shitty times, people, events, ect.
My posts wont have a consistent theme to them, so expect to see anything from a picture of a sunset and why it makes me think about a certain thing, to posts about stupid people.
Either way I hope it gives each and every one of you who takes time to read my blog a sense of comfort, joy, contentment or even graditude. Life is grand because I MAKE IT THAT WAY!!!
